Frequently asked questions

Everything about ordering, pickup, and using the products. Can't find your answer? Reach me on the contact page — I reply to everything myself.

Ordering & pickup

How does local pickup work?

Right now Tanuh is pickup-only. Place your order online, and I'll prepare it within 1–2 business days. You'll get an email the moment it's ready, with the pickup address in Clayton, Surrey, BC and simple instructions. Just bring your order confirmation — on your phone is fine.

Do you ship?

Not yet — but Canada-wide shipping is coming soon. I'm a one-person operation and I'd rather get shipping right than rush it. Join the newsletter at the bottom of any page and you'll know the moment it's live.

Can I buy in person instead?

Yes! You'll find me at Lower Mainland farmers markets — it's how Tanuh started, and I still love selling face to face. Follow @tanuh.beauty on Instagram to see where I'll be next.

Products & ingredients

Are your products really handmade?

Every jar and bottle. I make everything myself in small batches in Clayton, Surrey, BC. The full line is registered with Health Canada under the Cosmetic Notification process and made under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

How do I choose between the Rose & Ashwagandha and Neem & Tulsi collections?

Think of them as two answers to two different skin moods. Rose & Ashwagandha is the nourishing line — for skin that feels dry, dull, or stressed. Neem & Tulsi is the clarifying line — for oily, combination, or breakout-prone skin. If you're not sure, send me a note with how your skin's been feeling and I'll point you to a starting place.

Should I patch test?

Yes — with any new skincare, not just mine. Apply a small amount to your inner forearm and wait 24–48 hours. If there's no reaction, you're good to go. This matters most for leave-on products like the face oils and creams.

How long do the products last?

Scrubs and creams are best within 12 months unopened and 6 months after opening. The face oils are anhydrous (water-free) and keep longer — store them away from direct light and heat. Two habits stretch shelf life: keep water out of jars (use the mini spatula or dry fingertips) and close lids tightly.

Are your products safe during pregnancy?

Some are, some need a conversation with your care provider first. The Neem & Tulsi scrubs contain essential oils (tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender) that are often flagged during pregnancy — please check with your provider before using them. Each product page lists warnings in the Care & warnings section, and every label carries the full ingredient list.

Returns & guarantee

What's your satisfaction guarantee?

If a product isn't working for you within 14 days of pickup, contact me and we'll make it right — a swap for something better suited to your skin, or a refund. Skincare is personal; I'd rather you end up with the right product than keep the wrong one. See the refund policy for details.

What if my product arrives damaged or something is wrong with my order?

Contact me right away through the contact page with a photo, and I'll replace it — no back-and-forth. Everything is checked before pickup, but if something slips through, it's on me to fix.

Still curious? Send me a note — I'm happy to help you pick the right ritual for your skin.
